Who comes along?

We attract singles from a variety of professional backgrounds. Everyone taking part will be looking for a fun night out and something different from the regular bar and nightclub scene. Spark-dating events are a great opportunity for men and women of all ages to socialise with other singles looking for friendship and romance. It's a great night to be had by all!

How much does it cost?

Each event is just £10 per person, which covers all of your "dating" materials for the evening and guarantees you between 10 and 25 dates. You'll also receive a complimentary drink upon arrival.

What should I wear?

All our events take place in central bar locations wherever possible and therefore we advise you to dress as you would for a regular evening out on the town. It is also important to dress however you feel comfortable so that you feel relaxed throughout the evening - however, remember that first impressions do count and you only have 3 minutes to impress!

What happens when I arrive?

You are greeted by your hosts who will introduce themselves and sign you in against your booking number. Please remember to bring with you the confirmation email/letter that would have been sent as a result of booking via our online facility. This contains your booking reference number and ensures that you attend the correct dating event. Rebecca and Jayne will also provide you with your complimentary drink, supply a nametag and scorecard in preparation for the speed dating. The hosts are there throughout the evening to answer any questions you may have regarding the event and will be happy to discuss any concerns you may have.

Are there any breaks during the evening?

Yes, there is one 20 minute break halfway during the evening, where most people take a comfort stop or grab another drink before meeting the last 10-12 dates.

How soon do I receive my matches?

Your matches are sent by email within 24 hrs of the start of the event. Should you want these matches sent by post, there will be a box on your scorecard to opt for this method. You should receive this information within 48 hours of the event. We only pass on information to those individuals that have ticked each other for a "match" or "friendship". If you tick an individual as friendship, and they tick you as match or friendship, you will be provided with their details and vice versa, as you have both indicated that you wish to see each other again.

How many matches can I choose?

You may choose any number of matches/friendships you like, and most pick more than one. Remember, the only way to score a Mutual Match is for both parties to tick 'match' or friendship!

Which payment methods are accepted?

We accept most major Debit/Credit cards. All online Credit Card transactions are protected by Barclaycard Merchant Services, a secure payment facility.

What age categories are there?

Age categories are carefully chosen. Common age groups are 20 - 35 and 30 - 45 as there appears to be most demand for these events. We also have events in other age brackets such as 40-55 and 55+. These take place according to demand. If you are on the fringe of an age group category, you may select another category. However, if it is clear that you are well below or above the age group range, entry will be refused. Should you wish to partake in an event outside of your age range, you must be aware that other daters attending are expecting to met people within the same age category as indicated on the website.

How many tickets can I book?

Our online facility allows each participant to book up to two tickets per transaction. If you feel that coming alone may be a little daunting, be assured that there will be many other singles in the same situation and you will be greeted by the very friendly Spark-Dating team.

What to talk about?

Three minutes is a long time when conversation dries up. Its best to keep it light-hearted and friendly. This is the time where first impressions count.
